Join Robert Swan OBE in the Arctic in 2019

You’re invited to join our team on ClimateForce: Arctic (CFA) in June 2019, where we’ll equip leaders with resources and actionable solutions to become a part of a global force of change.

In June 2019, 2041 will reunite with The Explorer’s Passage, a pioneer in adventure travel, and renew focus on this strategic hotspot of climate change – the Arctic – the place that nearly took Robert’s life some 28 years ago. Aligning our vision and passions, the mission is to use adventure as a vehicle to preserve our planet. It is important that we go to the Arctic and observe the changes that are happening so that we ensure that these extreme environmental conditions never happen in Antarctica. We do plan to one day return to Antarctica with the ClimateForce Team once we have a more clear sense of what is going on in these strategic hotspots across the globe.

Over the last 15 years, Robert, Barney, and the 2041 leadership team have guided more than 3,500 people to the Polar Regions on various expeditions. No other individuals have a stronger record of success and experience in leading ventures in the Polar Regions.

Become Part of the Force

Our renowned ‘Leadership on the Edge’ program consists of a unique blend of leadership development, up-to-date climate change training, and sustainability education. We incorporate workshops on storytelling, writing, presentation, and public speaking to help guide you on your leadership journey. Through completing this program our alumni have used our training as a catalyst to enhance their personal and professional development. This is a Certified CarbonNeutral Voyage.

Together, with The Explorer’s Passage, we have announced the creation of the Arctic Carbon Negative Initiative (ACNI). The goal of ACNI is to establish a set of C02 standard protocols for the global travel industry to adhere to when embarking on sea expeditions to the Arctic to ensure that each voyage is Carbon Negative. We will be working with businesses, governments, and industries across the globe to protect the future of our planet.
